# The start of something new

*Streaks are all the rage*

I recently read [an article](https://www.residualthoughts.com/2022/04/25/a-text-analysis-of-fred-wilsons-avc/) from [Joe Hovde](https://www.residualthoughts.com/about/) analyzing 20 years worth of posts from [Fred Wilson](https://warpcast.com/fredwilson.eth)'s blog [AVC](https://avc.com/). Besides being super interesting, the thought of doing something _so_ consistently for _so long_ inspired me.

> Today, I'm jumping in to the world of writing **_consistently, in the open_**.

I've been using [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) to keep a fairly consistent journal for the past 6 months - writing on average 4.2 times per week. Because I've already seen a lot of the benefit in keeping a personal journal, I'm really excited about being more committed and more intentional about the practice of writing.

I'm also super excited about a new format. I'm not planning to write the same stuff here as I write in my journal. Those entries are a combination of [stream of consciousness writing](https://www.masterclass.com/articles/writing-101-what-is-stream-of-consciousness-writing-learn-about-stream-of-consciousness-in-literature-with-examples), todos, meeting notes, project ideas, and even personal critique + goals for growth.

My goal for this space isn't entirely clear yet. I know I want to be consistent, and I know I want to share what I write - but that's about it. Wish [me](https://warpcast.com/jklb.eth) luck :)

♥
